I joined the KOTM and really haven't had time all summer. This cute ice cream cone and cherries are all a part of the KOTM. Not sure if I did it justice or not, but had fun with it. <br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sv9zl3V1wWI/AAAAAAAAAJw/4D7udgrWvkw/s1600-h/November09_+003.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sv9zl3V1wWI/AAAAAAAAAJw/4D7udgrWvkw/s320/November09_+003.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404165172215791970" border="0" /></a><br />Now everyone at work knows I make cards so I have been elected to make all the cards for the office. Which I actually really enjoy since it gives me a reason to make a card. If you haven't noticed I have been playing with different looks and techniques. I really like my CuttleBug and am trying to find all the differents looks you can get with it. The embossing folder of the little hearts is my favorite so far. You can make a card so simple and quick, but the embossed hearts seem to add the finishing touch.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sv9zl4uvQZI/AAAAAAAAAJo/IYy74c15aWw/s1600-h/November09_+001.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sv9zl4uvQZI/AAAAAAAAAJo/IYy74c15aWw/s320/November09_+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404165172588659090" border="0" /></a><br />This is a birthday card I made for a girl who loves pink and doesn't care for the really cluttered and wild looking cards. So I used yet again my fabulous CuttleBug die cuts for the embossed look on the edges/corners. I just used the same paper and it gave the card a very elegant look, that and the pearlescent spray that I finished it off with. (By the way, I can't take a descent picture of a card.)<br />Please leave me a comment with your thoughts on these cards.Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-76227739739770562212009-11-07T16:22:00.002-06:002009-11-07T16:26:28.282-06:00Beautiful November Day!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SvXzd73bN1I/AAAAAAAAAJg/OYZ81Vtr9dY/s1600-h/PaPa+and+Jake+110709.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SvXzd73bN1I/AAAAAAAAAJg/OYZ81Vtr9dY/s320/PaPa+and+Jake+110709.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401491023712696146" border="0" /></a>What more can you ask for... This was a pretty easy one, most of it was computer images printed and pieced together. I of course had to put a few Stickles onto the white lilies.... The saying is from EK Success, along with the paper, Yellow Cross Collage. The paper I got a while ago and have been hoarding it. The pack was called True Faith and has some of the most beautiful religious paper in it.Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-80111937562583415742009-03-27T21:05:00.009-05:002009-03-28T08:31:19.255-05:00Welcome to stop 143 on the World Record Inspirational Unity Blog Hop<div align="center"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sc2H4FniBjI/AAAAAAAAAHo/OZbjIl3J4OM/s1600-h/SuperBlog_card.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318056132644832818" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/Sc2H4FniBjI/AAAAAAAAAHo/OZbjIl3J4OM/s320/SuperBlog_card.jpg" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:130%;color:#000000;">Tying a yellow ribbon around the Unity Tree for all our soldiers, may they all make it home safe.</span><br />Stamp: <strong>Dream Tree by Unity Stamp Co</strong><br />Paper used: The Paper Co & Best Occasions<br />Ribbon: American Crafts & Offray<br />Buttons by Dress It Up (Jesse James & Co)<br />Vintage Plum embossing powder by Tsukinek<br />VersaMark<br />Moonlight White Brillance Ink<br />EK Success Edge Rounder<br />2 yellow brads (?)<br /><br />Saying for the day:<br /><strong>The man who said it can't be done.... should not interrupt the woman doing it. </strong><br /><span style="color:#993300;">View the Inspirational Blog Hop by starting at </span><a href="http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com/"><span style="color:#993300;">http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com/</span></a><br /><span style="color:#66ffff;">Next on the hop is the wonderful Danielle Wycough </span><a href="http://lifeonelayoutatatime.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color:#66ffff;">http://lifeonelayoutatatime.blogspot.com/</span></a></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com32tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-11920813063943402172009-03-18T08:14:00.005-05:002009-03-18T08:49:18.718-05:00CPS 107<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/ScDz8cjT3DI/AAAAAAAAAHA/cQ3kQ5Y7w7Y/s1600-h/cps_107_+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314515780079180850" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/ScDz8cjT3DI/AAAAAAAAAHA/cQ3kQ5Y7w7Y/s320/cps_107_+001.jpg" border="0" /></a> 2 challenges in a row! Wow I am on a roll, LOL. I love the sketches from CPS, they always make you think outside of the box. I tried something a little different with it and kind of like it. Instead of just a plain rectangle for the under panel, I decided to go outside my comfort zone.<br />Used my great little Cuttlebug for the white panels, and I got a new edge punch from EK Success this weekend (30% off), I really like the punch. I also finally got to use the EK Success fastner tool that I have had for a very long time and have never used. I really like the little staples on the top panel. Gave it a little zip of color with the red flowers. And of course I finished it with a light coating of spray glitter (the picture didn't pick up).<br /><div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-90906301306862388612009-03-11T00:52:00.005-05:002009-03-12T08:26:18.407-05:00CPS 106<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbkNZy3Di-I/AAAAAAAAAG4/Ov7EvDEbPG0/s1600-h/CPS106_2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312291972260793314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbkNZy3Di-I/AAAAAAAAAG4/Ov7EvDEbPG0/s320/CPS106_2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbdR1sTWJoI/AAAAAAAAAGA/MCqYFq24JMk/s1600-h/CPS106_.jpg"></a> I love this sketch! I've been out of the loop for quite some time, but hoping to get back at it now that I am feeling better. I kept it very simple with this card. First I drew some curvy lines on white card stock, used my Cuttlebug to emboss it, layered some butterflies to give it some dimension, used my wonderful little Cuttlebug again using a die cut to get the lettering. I finished it off with some pearlecent spray I found at Walmart to give it a little shimmer. It's a really simple card but it really has a nice look to it in real life.<br />The butterflies are so awesome, I found a large pack of single layer foil butterflies at Walmart for $1.00, a variety of colors and sizes. I LOVE THEM! I found I can layer them and bend up the top layer to give the wings a lot more dimension. They're soo fun.</div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-31007405187596337582009-03-06T19:12:00.004-06:002009-03-06T19:19:07.213-06:00Gone for sooo long!I am soooo bad, I have been neglecting my blog these days. I have had such a bad cold & flu, just trying to get through the day has been a challenge. This stuff just drained me! Yuck! So here are a few cards (the only thing I have made in weeks) I have made for 2 special people. If you are one of them, don't look you'll see them tomorrow! :)<br />Please forgive me for my slacking, not sure if anyone even comes to visit me any more, but if you do leave me a comment and I promise to make a new card (and post it) for each comment left.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbHKwA7QWnI/AAAAAAAAAF4/bBuCTx905bU/s1600-h/bdayCards_+002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310248361877592690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbHKwA7QWnI/AAAAAAAAAF4/bBuCTx905bU/s320/bdayCards_+002.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbHKvwt80bI/AAAAAAAAAFw/Qdq8zGq5c24/s1600-h/bdayCards_+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310248357526819250" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SbHKvwt80bI/AAAAAAAAAFw/Qdq8zGq5c24/s320/bdayCards_+001.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div> </div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-60462462102853203912009-01-27T13:51:00.003-06:002009-01-27T14:01:34.849-06:00CPS 100<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SX9lwBqzadI/AAAAAAAAAFo/fbiBurOdjNo/s1600-h/CPS100.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296063562567084498" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SX9lwBqzadI/AAAAAAAAAFo/fbiBurOdjNo/s320/CPS100.jpg" border="0" /></a>Here is my card for CPS 100 challenge. I used a basic brown cardstock and some paper remnants for the background panels. Then I used the wavy squares die cutter from Cuttlebug to make the center panels and stamped the sentiment (Studio G) and edges of the center panel with coffee colored ink. For the butterflies I actually overlayed 2 butterfly embellies from Walmart to create 1. I like the "flying off the card" look it gives it. Added a piece of sheer brown ribbon from JoAnns and done. <br /><div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-60938599397478712362009-01-14T08:45:00.002-06:002009-01-14T08:58:55.997-06:00CPS 99<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW37PzOdD4I/AAAAAAAAAFY/hFOHk8KNO8Y/s1600-h/cards_CPS_99_+002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5291161386097643394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW37PzOdD4I/AAAAAAAAAFY/hFOHk8KNO8Y/s320/cards_CPS_99_+002.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW37Pox2fVI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/AHV5Y3xPm8o/s1600-h/cards_CPS_99_+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5291161383293320530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW37Pox2fVI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/AHV5Y3xPm8o/s320/cards_CPS_99_+001.jpg" border="0" /></a> IT'S A GIRL! Alicia had little Emma on Monday night, mommy & baby all rosy and healthy. So I was inspired to make a card for a precious little girl. Mommy likes green so I used a soft green with white dots for the background and a soft pink with slightly darker pink dots for the paper I ran through my Cuttlebug with a stamp die cut, then used the embossing folder to add the baby carriage embossing. I tried the alphabet die cut for the first time with this card, wow now that was an experience. They don't cut as nicely as everything else I have tried. But I think I finally learned the trick (after MANY attempts). I sponged Brillance Pearlescent Pink onto the letters and ran ribbon down the side to tie all the carriages together with. </div><div>I couldn't stop with one card for this challenge so I made the blue card also. I used my Martha Stewart flower punch to make the flowers, added a little color using my gel pens and topped them off with a little Stickles Diamond glitter glue.<br /><br /><div></div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-51372060412980314422009-01-13T17:42:00.003-06:002009-01-13T17:48:16.768-06:00Butterflies are free!<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW0nnSpZlyI/AAAAAAAAAFI/2KAEmLZ5OZo/s1600-h/cards_butterfly_bday_+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290928693204064034" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SW0nnSpZlyI/AAAAAAAAAFI/2KAEmLZ5OZo/s320/cards_butterfly_bday_+001.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>In hopes spring will come sooner, LOL, I made this birthday card. I actually love this one! I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the navy blue background and the white scalloped panel. I used the Cuttlebug die cutter for the square sentiment. I sponged the royal blue onto the square, stamped the sentiment with black Brillance ink. The butterfly embellishment is from Walmart, along with the sheer lace.</div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-71147359185773754422009-01-12T17:03:00.003-06:002009-01-12T17:19:12.747-06:00Wedding Card<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SWvM13K2OqI/AAAAAAAAAFA/kDTklg03LJc/s1600-h/wedding1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290547412991359650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SWvM13K2OqI/AAAAAAAAAFA/kDTklg03LJc/s320/wedding1.jpg" border="0" /></a> Oh I LOVE this new stamp by Inkadinkado! I just bought this from Nosser's this weekend. I used my Cuttlebug emboss the little hearts on the white background, and the double hearts die cut for the hearts embellishments. I used Ranger Diamond Stickles on the double hearts and light blue stickles to boarder the oval. For the stamp I colored the stamp with my watercolor markers and then stamped it on white card stock. I used my Fiskars lace punch for the pink panel.<br /><div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-24617316190635762112009-01-02T22:10:00.004-06:002009-01-02T22:12:05.063-06:00Another one - Wedding tag that is...<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SV7lVmWvEaI/AAAAAAAAAE4/4EKSl3MgQjk/s1600-h/Wedding_Tag_06.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286915171815461282" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SV7lVmWvEaI/AAAAAAAAAE4/4EKSl3MgQjk/s320/Wedding_Tag_06.jpg" border="0" /></a> I forgot all about this new stamp I just got, and I got it just for this reason... Love themI have been trying to keep up with all the challenges on SCS, here are a few I made this week.<br />The hearts were a challenge for me, I have never tried to make a 3 dimensional before. I like the technique, just the crazy hearts might not have been the best choice. The center heart is suppose to be deformed but when making it 3 dimensional it doesn't look quite right. BUT I think I FINALLY got the ink sponging figured out!!!<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVuht3aIGoI/AAAAAAAAAEI/GImirxgtB-o/s1600-h/triple+heart.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285996396989127298" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVuht3aIGoI/AAAAAAAAAEI/GImirxgtB-o/s320/triple+heart.jpg" border="0" /></a> I LOVE this birdie stamp, I got it in Rhinelander, WI from Nosers. I added the sentiment, it's just a all around handie little stamp. I did stamp out the birdie on white cardstock and attached him seperately. All the brads have dark blue gems in them but the camera shaded them differently. <br />Happy New Years to Everyone!<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVuht8JJ7EI/AAAAAAAAAEA/53s1dPW9oxg/s1600-h/Birthday_birdie+tag.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285996398260120642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVuht8JJ7EI/AAAAAAAAAEA/53s1dPW9oxg/s320/Birthday_birdie+tag.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div> </div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-61262146173910155702008-12-29T01:11:00.005-06:002008-12-29T01:29:29.924-06:00CPS Challenge 97<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVh4Um5gc9I/AAAAAAAAAD4/y7tKs3On1Hg/s1600-h/CPS_97_+002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285106458153743314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVh4Um5gc9I/AAAAAAAAAD4/y7tKs3On1Hg/s320/CPS_97_+002.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVh4UmTThlI/AAAAAAAAADw/Qsuhj1MQBAc/s1600-h/CPS_97_+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285106457993512530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVh4UmTThlI/AAAAAAAAADw/Qsuhj1MQBAc/s320/CPS_97_+001.jpg" border="0" /></a> Well I am trying to end the year the right way, SCRAPPING!!! I took a look at the sketch for this week and thought it looked like SOOO much fun I ran to my crafty room and made the yellow owl card. Then I came back and looked at the sketch again and realized I got a little off track (a good excuse to make another card using the sketch). I love these sketches from CPS!!! </div><div>Anyway... if you haven't noticed I got a Cuttlebug for Christmas (Thank you Mom!!!) So for the blue card, I used my new toy to emboss the saying and the circles. I lightly rubbed some Brillance pearl blue over the blue embossed cirlces and Brillance pearl silver over the saying. The saying is on a very light blue paper from Hobby Lobby, it has little white swirls in it but the picture didn't pick them up. All of this is on white card stock with embossed cirlces lightly inked with the pearl blue also. The blue ribbon is something I had in my stuff that I have been collecting for the past ?? years. LOL</div><div>The yellow card turned out a whole lot better than I thought it would. The whole time I was making it I just didn't feel like it was working. But after I got it all put together and put the Coffee Stickles on as the border, PRESTO!!! I liked it. I used a soft yellow cardstock and used Brillance olive green and rust to ink the little leaves/branches and to edge the scallops. The sunflower paper is from Hobby Lobby, stamps are from Michaels. I raised the scalloped circle in the center to give it a little dimension, the picture doesn't show this well.<br /><br /></div><div></div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413350527415391761.post-60988596109113117272008-12-28T02:21:00.002-06:002008-12-28T02:24:09.893-06:00Gentle butterflys<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVc3ooRIcyI/AAAAAAAAADo/LODO1l5Q1nE/s1600-h/SPC_PinkButterflies_.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284753858886136610" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ouBNFLoWy08/SVc3ooRIcyI/AAAAAAAAADo/LODO1l5Q1nE/s320/SPC_PinkButterflies_.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Well I have been soo busy I FINALLY got time to sit down and try a challenge. I again used my glitter foam paper from Walmart for the snowflake and the ric-rak (YEP it comes in different colors). For the scallopped circle I used DCWV glitter paper that I got from Michaels. This stuff is sooo much fun! </div>Pattyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08170962693930324911noreply@blogger.com6
