CPS 99

IT'S A GIRL! Alicia had little Emma on Monday night, mommy & baby all rosy and healthy. So I was inspired to make a card for a precious little girl. Mommy likes green so I used a soft green with white dots for the background and a soft pink with slightly darker pink dots for the paper I ran through my Cuttlebug with a stamp die cut, then used the embossing folder to add the baby carriage embossing. I tried the alphabet die cut for the first time with this card, wow now that was an experience. They don't cut as nicely as everything else I have tried. But I think I finally learned the trick (after MANY attempts). I sponged Brillance Pearlescent Pink onto the letters and ran ribbon down the side to tie all the carriages together with.
I couldn't stop with one card for this challenge so I made the blue card also. I used my Martha Stewart flower punch to make the flowers, added a little color using my gel pens and topped them off with a little Stickles Diamond glitter glue.

Butterflies are free!

In hopes spring will come sooner, LOL, I made this birthday card. I actually love this one! I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the navy blue background and the white scalloped panel. I used the Cuttlebug die cutter for the square sentiment. I sponged the royal blue onto the square, stamped the sentiment with black Brillance ink. The butterfly embellishment is from Walmart, along with the sheer lace.

Wedding Card

Oh I LOVE this new stamp by Inkadinkado! I just bought this from Nosser's this weekend. I used my Cuttlebug emboss the little hearts on the white background, and the double hearts die cut for the hearts embellishments. I used Ranger Diamond Stickles on the double hearts and light blue stickles to boarder the oval. For the stamp I colored the stamp with my watercolor markers and then stamped it on white card stock. I used my Fiskars lace punch for the pink panel.

Another one - Wedding tag that is...

I forgot all about this new stamp I just got, and I got it just for this reason... Dah!!! The picture didn't focus too well, but you get the idea.

Wedding name tags

A good friend of mine is getting married this summer and her wedding color is Pink! I have been asked to come up with some options for the place setting name tags. Here are a few of the options so far. Any ideas out there????

Here is a close up (kind of) of each one so far... My camera did NOT want to focus in on there for some reason! I think I need good ole fashion sunlight.

I am trying to go simple, there has to about 250 of these to be made. Still working on more ideas but any feedback or suggestions would be TOTALLY helpful!!!

Challanges!!! Love them

I have been trying to keep up with all the challenges on SCS, here are a few I made this week.
The hearts were a challenge for me, I have never tried to make a 3 dimensional before. I like the technique, just the crazy hearts might not have been the best choice. The center heart is suppose to be deformed but when making it 3 dimensional it doesn't look quite right. BUT I think I FINALLY got the ink sponging figured out!!! I LOVE this birdie stamp, I got it in Rhinelander, WI from Nosers. I added the sentiment, it's just a all around handie little stamp. I did stamp out the birdie on white cardstock and attached him seperately. All the brads have dark blue gems in them but the camera shaded them differently.
Happy New Years to Everyone!

CPS Challenge 97

Well I am trying to end the year the right way, SCRAPPING!!! I took a look at the sketch for this week and thought it looked like SOOO much fun I ran to my crafty room and made the yellow owl card. Then I came back and looked at the sketch again and realized I got a little off track (a good excuse to make another card using the sketch). I love these sketches from CPS!!!
Anyway... if you haven't noticed I got a Cuttlebug for Christmas (Thank you Mom!!!) So for the blue card, I used my new toy to emboss the saying and the circles. I lightly rubbed some Brillance pearl blue over the blue embossed cirlces and Brillance pearl silver over the saying. The saying is on a very light blue paper from Hobby Lobby, it has little white swirls in it but the picture didn't pick them up. All of this is on white card stock with embossed cirlces lightly inked with the pearl blue also. The blue ribbon is something I had in my stuff that I have been collecting for the past ?? years. LOL
The yellow card turned out a whole lot better than I thought it would. The whole time I was making it I just didn't feel like it was working. But after I got it all put together and put the Coffee Stickles on as the border, PRESTO!!! I liked it. I used a soft yellow cardstock and used Brillance olive green and rust to ink the little leaves/branches and to edge the scallops. The sunflower paper is from Hobby Lobby, stamps are from Michaels. I raised the scalloped circle in the center to give it a little dimension, the picture doesn't show this well.

CPS 95

This challenge was fun, so simple and it just went together in minutes for me. I again used my glitter foam paper from Walmart for the snowflake and the ric-rak (YEP it comes in different colors). For the scallopped circle I used DCWV glitter paper that I got from Michaels. This stuff is sooo much fun!

CPS Challenge 94

Here is my take on the CPS 94 challenge, a little different but fun! I love SNOWFLAKES!!! (Well only on cards, I see plenty of the real ones...) I have 2 pictures of the same card because I can't get nice picture, but between the 2 you should get the idea. It's a really nice card, the snowflakes and the white rick rack at the bottom are all glittering and fun! The blue card stock is from Michaels, the fun red snowflake paper is from Hobby Lobby, and the embellishments could be from anywhere. I got them on sale at the end of the year last year from somewhere just not sure where.... For the snowflakes, I found this really fun glitter foam paper at Walmart, so I punched these out with my snowflake punch and the paper is self adhesive on the back. Too easy!! Well trying to get the foam paper in the punch isn't all that easy, the punch wasn't made to put that thick of paper in....

I didn't post my challenge for 93 because I diverted from the sketch a little too much, but I do really like the card so I am posting it any ways.
