CPS 107

2 challenges in a row! Wow I am on a roll, LOL. I love the sketches from CPS, they always make you think outside of the box. I tried something a little different with it and kind of like it. Instead of just a plain rectangle for the under panel, I decided to go outside my comfort zone.
Used my great little Cuttlebug for the white panels, and I got a new edge punch from EK Success this weekend (30% off), I really like the punch. I also finally got to use the EK Success fastner tool that I have had for a very long time and have never used. I really like the little staples on the top panel. Gave it a little zip of color with the red flowers. And of course I finished it with a light coating of spray glitter (the picture didn't pick up).

CPS 106

I love this sketch! I've been out of the loop for quite some time, but hoping to get back at it now that I am feeling better. I kept it very simple with this card. First I drew some curvy lines on white card stock, used my Cuttlebug to emboss it, layered some butterflies to give it some dimension, used my wonderful little Cuttlebug again using a die cut to get the lettering. I finished it off with some pearlecent spray I found at Walmart to give it a little shimmer. It's a really simple card but it really has a nice look to it in real life.
The butterflies are so awesome, I found a large pack of single layer foil butterflies at Walmart for $1.00, a variety of colors and sizes. I LOVE THEM! I found I can layer them and bend up the top layer to give the wings a lot more dimension. They're soo fun.

Gone for sooo long!

I am soooo bad, I have been neglecting my blog these days. I have had such a bad cold & flu, just trying to get through the day has been a challenge. This stuff just drained me! Yuck! So here are a few cards (the only thing I have made in weeks) I have made for 2 special people. If you are one of them, don't look you'll see them tomorrow! :)
Please forgive me for my slacking, not sure if anyone even comes to visit me any more, but if you do leave me a comment and I promise to make a new card (and post it) for each comment left.
