Challanges!!! Love them

I have been trying to keep up with all the challenges on SCS, here are a few I made this week.
The hearts were a challenge for me, I have never tried to make a 3 dimensional before. I like the technique, just the crazy hearts might not have been the best choice. The center heart is suppose to be deformed but when making it 3 dimensional it doesn't look quite right. BUT I think I FINALLY got the ink sponging figured out!!! I LOVE this birdie stamp, I got it in Rhinelander, WI from Nosers. I added the sentiment, it's just a all around handie little stamp. I did stamp out the birdie on white cardstock and attached him seperately. All the brads have dark blue gems in them but the camera shaded them differently.
Happy New Years to Everyone!

CPS Challenge 97

Well I am trying to end the year the right way, SCRAPPING!!! I took a look at the sketch for this week and thought it looked like SOOO much fun I ran to my crafty room and made the yellow owl card. Then I came back and looked at the sketch again and realized I got a little off track (a good excuse to make another card using the sketch). I love these sketches from CPS!!!
Anyway... if you haven't noticed I got a Cuttlebug for Christmas (Thank you Mom!!!) So for the blue card, I used my new toy to emboss the saying and the circles. I lightly rubbed some Brillance pearl blue over the blue embossed cirlces and Brillance pearl silver over the saying. The saying is on a very light blue paper from Hobby Lobby, it has little white swirls in it but the picture didn't pick them up. All of this is on white card stock with embossed cirlces lightly inked with the pearl blue also. The blue ribbon is something I had in my stuff that I have been collecting for the past ?? years. LOL
The yellow card turned out a whole lot better than I thought it would. The whole time I was making it I just didn't feel like it was working. But after I got it all put together and put the Coffee Stickles on as the border, PRESTO!!! I liked it. I used a soft yellow cardstock and used Brillance olive green and rust to ink the little leaves/branches and to edge the scallops. The sunflower paper is from Hobby Lobby, stamps are from Michaels. I raised the scalloped circle in the center to give it a little dimension, the picture doesn't show this well.

CPS 95

This challenge was fun, so simple and it just went together in minutes for me. I again used my glitter foam paper from Walmart for the snowflake and the ric-rak (YEP it comes in different colors). For the scallopped circle I used DCWV glitter paper that I got from Michaels. This stuff is sooo much fun!

CPS Challenge 94

Here is my take on the CPS 94 challenge, a little different but fun! I love SNOWFLAKES!!! (Well only on cards, I see plenty of the real ones...) I have 2 pictures of the same card because I can't get nice picture, but between the 2 you should get the idea. It's a really nice card, the snowflakes and the white rick rack at the bottom are all glittering and fun! The blue card stock is from Michaels, the fun red snowflake paper is from Hobby Lobby, and the embellishments could be from anywhere. I got them on sale at the end of the year last year from somewhere just not sure where.... For the snowflakes, I found this really fun glitter foam paper at Walmart, so I punched these out with my snowflake punch and the paper is self adhesive on the back. Too easy!! Well trying to get the foam paper in the punch isn't all that easy, the punch wasn't made to put that thick of paper in....

I didn't post my challenge for 93 because I diverted from the sketch a little too much, but I do really like the card so I am posting it any ways.

CPS Challenge 92

Here is my card for CPS challenge 92. I love this layout and plan on making more with it. I was going for a slightly different look but as always the design took on a mind of its own.... I used the great Unity Christmas tag stamp set for the snowglobe and "believe". I am totally obsessed with the Brillance Inks! The paper came from Michael's but I couldn't tell you the brand. I love the peppermint candy paper! Unfortunately you can't see the full design on this card, but it's REALLY a fun paper. And you just got to have a little bling, and this is great glitter glue from Walmart! Stickles seems to be a very scarce commodity around here and I can only find it when I visit my mom in WI, so I thought I would give this stuff from Walmart a try and it is just about identical to the Stickles brand (Except the price, now there is a big difference.) And yes I meant for the snow globe to be slightly tilted, I was trying for the "shaking" look but it didn't come across that way.

I had a very productive weekend and made some really cute cards. A friend came over and we stayed up ALL night scrapping!!!! I think I got her hooked, LOL. I will be sharing some of them later, but off to bed for me.
I hope I get some feedback on this and my other cards. I really would like to know what all you experts think and yes I do want to know if I should have added this or not added that...

CPS Challenge 91

Ok, I couldn't stop with one. The Christmas card is actually following the CPS 91 sketch, the Thanksgiving card took on a mind of its own. The paper used for the Christmas card is from DCWV, its great! It's from the Winter Mat Stack and it's all glittered cardstock! Just wish the picture showed the glitter. The heart embellishment is a Walmart special.

I love these challenges! I think it fits in the realm of the sketch, let's put it this way, I had the sketch in mind while laying it out and this is what developed. So I guess thats the idea....

Of course I used a stamp from the Unity Fall Festival collection, AGAIN. I love this collection! I used some Stickles for around the sign and cut out my little yellow birdie so he would "pop" out a little more. (He is so darn cute!)

So much Fun!

I have been sooo busy this week with work, I haven't had time to do any scrapping. I FINALLY got a chance tonight. I made a tri-fold Thanksgiving Card, the first picture (yeah I am not the best photographer), is of the inside of the card and the second is the outside. I used the great stamps from Unity, these are from the Fall Festival kit. There are sooo many cute stamps at Unity and never enough time.....

This Christmas card is also using a Unity Stamp, its the "Do Not Open" stamp. This picture does not show the clarity of the stamp, but it stamps very sharp and clear. ALL of the Unity Stamps do! I stamped it first using Brillance Gold Metallic, then I stamped slightly off with red. In real life it gave it a really snazzy look. What do you think?

As a sidenote: I am so EXCITED!!! I got my first follower today.... Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I am always looking for ways to improve and different techniques.

CPS Challenge 90

Here is my attempt at this weeks CPS sketch challenge 90.

I have been having fun with all my new Unity stamps! Oh I am sooo hooked on them! If you haven't used any of their stamps, go get some.... they are great! The second one was just for fun, I love the wish list stamp from Unity, this was the stamp that made me FINALLY break down and place an order, I am sooo happy I did.

PINK IS GREAT!?

Here is another one, I have a very sweet friend turning 21 today and she LOVES pink So this is the card I made her. I used pearl irredecent ink to stamp the swirls at the top of the card, but it doesn't show up here. And OF COURSE you have to have Stickles! I originally started out with the SC200 sketch layout in mind, but got diverted. Maybe this week I can actually follow the sketch layout!

CPS Challenge 89

Here is my design using CPS Challenge 89 sketch. I just got my new Fall Festival Unity Stamps and had to use them, so why not on this challenge? I love these stamps from Unity! The camera didn't pick up the colors very well but this was a really fun one.
P.S. I added another picture of it today that I took using natural sunlight, the colors still really show up as nicely as they do on the actual card. But I think you get the idea.

Graduation Card

Here is a card I made and didn't get in the mail this summer, so I thought I would share it here. It's nothing fancy, but I have found making cards for men is slightly challenging. They don't seem to appreciate flowers and glitter as much as women do.... Go figure!
I hand made the little diploma with a small piece of wide white satin ribbon. Trying to tie the gold ribbon was a challenge though!

CPS Challenge 88

Ok, here is my first attempt at a challenge. It was fun! I have been watching everyone doing these challenges and am totally amazed at how different each card looks. So I had to see what I could do. I'm still in the minor leagues but having fun with it.

Spring time wagon

A very sweet and talented someone gave me some stamps and this little wagon was one of them. I had a lot of fun with this, I stamped the little wagon on plain card stock, cut it out, colored it in and raised it up a little.

Loss of your dog

Here is a card I made in about 15 minutes today. An employee/friend of mine had to have her dog put down today, so I wanted to send her a little something to let her know I was thinking of her. So I whipped this together on my lunch break. Notice the hint of paw prints on it.

Very first posting!

Well I have taken the plunge and am going to start my own blog for my crafty stuff. I am a beginner when it comes to scrapping but I love doing it. I will hopefully find (make) more time to scrap and be able to post regularly.

I love running around to other scrappers blogs and seeing all their ideas and techniques, so hopefully I can get some feedback on mine and improve a little.
I am in no way an expert at this and don't keep track of who's products I use. This is a card, I stamped the background with little flowers and colored in the centers. Can you find the one that is different? This was done on purpose, it stands for the person I miss and how that one person will always stand out above the rest.
I'm not 100% happy with the overall card, but considering I did this while camping and had very limited supplies, it turned out better than I expected.
